Cathay Pacific wants to fly to MIA from HKG with a stop in YVR. AC would likely codeshare with them, as their narrowbodies can’t make it that far, and it wouldn’t make sense for them to use a wide-body.

Could be a good route.
This might mean why they added the new YVR route with the A350. It will be nice to see the A350 route go daily.
I thought they were Cathay Pacific, not Cathay Carribean. (Although admittedly a cool name!)
The Pacific part of the name was in hopes that someday they would fly across the Pacific, which they did in the 80s to YVR.
