Cathay Pacific Considering A350-8000

Cathay Pacific has been considering the A350-8000 for routes to Miami and South America. Ivan Chu told Bloomberg that they are considering a smaller aircraft then the 777X due to smaller flight loads.

It was planned to compete with the Boeing 777X. So far no confirmed orders and as it stands its still an idea.

I think the -8000 is going to be the biggest one, to compete with the 777X, but it’s just rumors so far.

Airbus does have the A350-900LR brewing, I can imagine that those upgrades can be migrated over to the -1000.
