Cathay Pacific B747 last Commercial Flight

Cathay Pacific is operating its last ever commercial flight ever from Tokyo Haneda to Hong Kong. Sad to see another classic bight the dust. There will be a 747 flight operated by Cathay in the coming days before it is ferried to the desert where it will meet its fate.

That’s sad. I’ve been on the HKG-HND flight and back in a 747.

Sad. Another 747-400 ending its long and successful life. Start of the end for the Queen of the skies?

I hate to say but the end of the start of the end for the queen has passed us. It will be done by 2019

Oh my gosh I used to love this plane so sad

no @tacobell1015 we don’t know that yet

Thats the expected shut down for the 747 program at boeing. They are most likely gonna need the space to expand the 777 production line with the arrival of the 777X

The 747-8 production will stop earlier than thought before.

I got some photos when I was going to SFO through Hong Kong. We had a long layover so I talk some time to plane spot!
