1/5th of the way to completing all of the transpacific flights I have scheduled from Los Angeles. However, that’s going to get put on the back burner due to a project I’ve had drawn up for a few days now that’ll take the better part of a week to complete. Anyway, here’s some information about the flight.
Hong Kong has long been a popular destination from the U.S. West Coast due to both extensive business and tourist demands. Over the years, Hong Kong has seen service from Pan Am, Northwest Airlines, United Airlines, American Airines, and Delta Air Lines with Boeing 707s, 747s, 767s, 777s, 787s, and Airbus A330-200s. Hong Kong’s flag carrier, Cathay Pacific, has served the United States since 1986, when the airline inaugurated service to San Francisco with the 747-200. Since then, it has served the United States and Los Angeles in particular with the 747-400, A350-900/1000, and 777-300ER. Today, Cathay Pacific operates 3 daily flights to Los Angeles, all on the 777-300ER.

Taxiing by the alley between Terminal 4 and Terminal 5. B6923, a JetBlue A321-200, has arrived from JFK and about to turn right into its gate (Yes, I checked FlightRadar24 to see where other aircraft were relative to ours).
Roaring airborne from Runway 25R behind AA169, a 787-8 Dreamliner departing to Tokyo-Haneda, and ahead of BR15, an EVA Air 777-300ER painted in the Star Alliance livery departing to Taipei.
Climbing over the Pacific with the Manhattan Beach Pier barely visible and the twinkling lights of the South Bay in the distance
Heading west across the Pacific just west of the Bay. Somewhere behind us, BR15 is leveling off at its cruising altitude.
Cruising over Tokyo, near Haneda Airport
Descending into the hills of Hong Kong
Arriving on a misty morning in Hong Kong after a warm summer rain
Taxiing to Terminal 1 by the maintenance apron
