Carribean Airways Was An Barbadian Owned Airline created in 1970 by Sir Freddie Lake and the Barbadian Government as a joint venture between the 2. The Airline Originally gained Boeing 707 planes to fly to London Gatwick and Luxembourg. Later on they gained DC-10’s and started charter operations to Montréal And Berlin. In 1987, Under the leadership of The Right Honourable Sir Lloyd Erskin Sandiford, The Airline was shut down due to it losing money quickly.
As a Barbadian Native Myself I personally think that we should have it because it brings more liveries to our small community in the Caribbean.
