This happens so many times. There were so many airports in the vicinity yet I couldn’t tune into any CTAF for no reason. Luckily there was no ATC around, else I’d get doomed.
It seems that you are too far from the airport. Try to keep approaching, and then you can get in touch.。
BTW, if there is ATC in control, you can open the map, select the airport, and contact them manually.
He’s within the ~27nm range to be able to tune into CTAF. That’s not the problem.
Have you checked the connection status on the top right corner? If it’s not green, then connection may be the issue…

Happened to me before on the world tour when it was in Brazil. ATC was active but for some reason I couldn’t tune in. Had to use flight resume just to tune into the frequency. Hate it when it happens.
This happened to me earlier today, I couldn’t connect to ATC in Tokyo Haneda, I had to turn on flight resume which is always quite annoying.
