Cant see what aircraft requests on first contact | ATC

i cant see what the aircraft requests when connected newly to the frequency, only works if → aircraft connects to freq → i press on the aircraft before any requests | other than that on every request i have to find it on the general log to see what they request since it doesnt pop up on their log
