Hi, this issue happened when I started a flight from KSFO to KLAX, after pushback and taxi I switched from SFO ground to SFO tower just fine. However, after takeoff, I was instructed to change frequencies to Norcal Departure, which I thought I did (seen below).
After thinking I switched to departure, I could still hear transmissions unique a tower frequency (i.e. departure requests, landing clearances, etc.). But after trying to repeatedly switch to the dept frequency, I could still hear tower transmissions.
This probably meant that I had never switched to the dept frequency for the controllers even though the game showed me I was on the dept frequency. After this, I quit the flight.
Has anyone else face this problem, because this has happened to me on a few other occasions while playing the beta version?
Yes there is a glitch occurring sometimes when being sent from one frequency to another. Even if switch out of frequency and back to the departure frequency, usually that controller still doesn’t get the pilots messages. This is especially more common when the pilot or controller is using different versions of the app.
Ok, you could also tune into the frequency by clicking on the airport, and clicking the “tune button” to the frequency that you got directed to. This normally works
I was unfortunate enough to experience this issue myself last night only I ended up with a violation. I haven’t been able to find a solution but my violation was able to be appealed.
