John F. Kennedy International Airport (5/23/23)
Location: John F. Kennedy lnt’l Airport (KJFK)
Hello, and welcome to yet another JFK spotting post. After deciding my last session wasn’t enough I packed my camera up for another spotting trip to JFK with hopes the Canarsie Climb would be in use. However my train getting to JFK was delayed (thanks Metro North) and by the time I got there they were limiting 13L departures to certain westbound departures, further compounding these problems my camera gave out about an hour in. Nonetheless the pictures that did come out are arguably some of my best so hope you enjoy
Camera Specs: Nikon D5000, Sigma 150-600mm lense
First off we’ve got this Egyptair B77W departing for Cairo. From where I was standing this mighty 77W looked like a toy plane!
Did a bit of whale watching walking from the bus stop to the Cross Bay Bridge
Minimum Delay 11 (Hours) departing out for Louisville.
Beacon shot on this A339 headed out to Los Angeles
DHL 767-300 BDSF operated by ABX Air
Camera unfortunately started to fail so I couldn’t sadly couldn’t catch ship 970JB before she became too far & backlit.
Another flying computer flying out to L.A, this time in American colors.
Mexican beacon !
The Canarsie Climb makes even the barbie jet look good.
Bonus
Wasn’t going to upload this due to heat haze & noise but unfortunately PAX 747s are a dying breed compared to a few years ago.
Thank you for viewing! These pictures are of course just a fraction of all the amazing shots I was able to take so I hope you enjoy them as much I did taking them! Be on the lookout for more spotting posts in the future as I now have much more free time!
