Hello everyone, the title say this:
Canada: transport minister Garneau prods Air Canada to reduce noise on about 100 Airbus passenger planes.
A320s need to have the vortex generator?
I wouldn’t think that noise would really be that annoying
- It depend on airlines and people.
- Vortex generators are preinstalled in the A320 family in 2014.
Well that’s good to know. But I personally like the sound of the a320 w/out the generator when it flys over, it is a very distinct sound to the A320 family, my favorite family of planes.
Many europeans airlines have modified their A320 family:
- Easy jet
- Aer Lingus
- Air France
- British Airways
For Av Geeks, We will miss the old whining noise on the Airbus A320.
On the positive side, this will indeed reduce the noise coming in from the nearby aircrafts.
The question is:
What happens if WizzAir follow the rules of Lufthansa ?
What’s the case with the A320NEO family and the whining noise?
A320NEO family have vortex generators preinstalled.
This should be simple. If Wizz Air follows the rules of Lufthansa, then there will be less noise complaints coming in from Western Europe. But also less profitable for fitting the sound resistant vortex generators.
There is also a petition to stop the whine.
But do you want the other airlines that they don’t modified their a320 family (Wizz, Azul, Avianca, Aegean, TAM, Latam…) to modify their A320 family to stop the whine noise ?
If airlines modified their a320 family, it’s because of the noise complaints.
