can the b777-200LR or the 787-10 make this route

hi guys. The new route is from the airline’s hub at Singapore Changi International Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport. All told, the flight takes 18 hours, 25 minutes on the outbound, and an astonishing 18 hours, 45 minutes on the return leg from Newark to Singapore. The route covers a distance of approximately 9,521 miles, nearly 500 miles longer than the next-longest airline route (Qatar’s service between Auckland and Doha).

but can i use the b777-200LR or the 787-10 to make this route in IF, or what plane can make this route?

thanks a lot, once again i am sorry if this is a duplicate.

Maybe in an LR can make it, not sure abou the 10. Step climbing would also be very helpful in this case.

They can do it both, I’ve done it with the 787-10

I’ve flown the 77F for Fedex VA in excess of 20 hours non stop so I would say yes it can.

hi, can the a380 make it?

how many v/s?

Would depend on the load. If you have the pax and cargo set fairly low then yes.

Yes the aircraft that can do it based on my tests:

A380
777-200LR/300ER
787-8/-9/-10

Initial Climb: 1000-2000ft/min
Step Climbs: 500-1000ft/min

even the 200er and 300er can make it?

Yup! I did it in the 787-10, and many other planes! 787-10 cuts it close, for me (really strong headwinds), I had 9% fuel left.

9% is a lot, i got only 2% left in 787-9 from london to sydney

Oh, I like to be safe with around 15%. I also put the plane on max fuel, so 91% for the entire flight is quite a lot (I think). I don’t like to be to close to 0% just in case a go around or a re route.

hello, can i do it with full pax and 0 cargo?

Yes with the LR I believe you can. Just be careful not to fly into 4 hours of 140kt headwinds like I did…

9% in long range aircraft - safe gap, i think

Yes. I did it with the 787 and Angus did with 777

I did 787-10 and someone did 777-200

If you get a good wind, I’m sure you’d be able to make it in a 787.

B747-8 has fuel capacity about 23hrs. Earlier, calculations by “time to burn” was ok, so if headwinds will not be like 130kts - you can hanle this flight almost with any long range aircraft
