Can I request a transition?

I am currently in a xcub at YSSY the ATIS says no light aircraft accepted and I want to request a transition can I?

Yep! That only means that you can’t fly or depart from the airport. Make sure you follow the correct criteria for a Transition:

I would PM the controller currently just to make sure.

There really is no need to do so, if following all altitudes and instructions correctly it should be absoloutly fine. I do it very frequently and have never had problems. Give them a little moment to respond though, as you won´t be the Number 1 priority.

Edit: Also don´t expect answers from active controllers on the IFC as they are usually very busy and focused on their controlling.
