Hi, this might be a bit of a “useless” topic as it might be obvious what the answer is. So I use an iPhone 11 but have recently moved to an iPad. I have seen people use it but is there any way to use a joystick with a USB connection in infinite flight without a PC? I have a Logitech X30 joystick and I MIGHT be able to get a monitor. I have a laptop but it barely runs. If anyone know if you can/ how to do it, it would be very helpful. :)
Yes you can
You have to download a specific app
I don’t remember what the app is but I’ll get the tutorial I used
Unfortunately the program that is required to connect a joystick if you use an iPad, requires a computer:
That’s ok. Does it have to be a high- end computer or is it just for the display/ controls?
Given its a pretty simple program - it should work fine on a low-end computer.
Ok thank you! I’ll try it out soon and let you know if it runs. Thank you Jger and BennyBoy_Alpha :)
Is there anyone using the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro but finding the sensitivity is too high even after setting it to the lowest in the settings?
This sounds off-topic, but I hope it’s still relevant.
I tried it before. When you want to do it and never done it before, it sound like a good idea and will be very helpful but after you have it done and your flying with the joystick, it wont be as fun as you think. Its not for expert flying just to let you know.
Hey so i use the Thrustmaster Hotas X and it works fantastically, and if you are not able to move the control surfaces, go into the controls settings and bind the controls(the app only maps the buttons automatically)
Good news, I set up my joystick and it worked! My laptop surprisingly ran it and it had absolutely no lag between my iPad and the inputs on the joystick. One problem though, the sensitivity is to high. In the IF settings, the input thing is set to “LOW” but it is still a bit to sensitive for my liking. Does anyone know how to fix this?
You can fix the input settings. This should do the trick. ;)
What do you mean? On IF or the laptop?
The software that you use and IF.
Sorry, I tried finding a setting for the sensitivity on both IF and the software but I can’t find anything. Is it in the controls section on IF? I think @ouzi was having the same problem.
