Does anyone know to fix camera tilting upwards by itself? because I won approach to Vancouver when I can’t use my cockpit view to land and I ended up using the HUD

Hey, @Archielestial! Unfortunately, cockpit view wasn’t designed to be flown with the HUD on at all (this is not an issue). Keep in mind that we now have live instruments on our newest aircraft, the intent is for the pilot to use those in cockpit view. If you’d like the HUD, I’d recommend flying in the HUD camera view as you did.
he might have done this so he can move the camera around as you can’t do that with the normal hud
Hi, the default camera angle in cockpit view being tilted upwards is not really a bug.
The HUD markings in cockpit view are to be read in relation to the HUD’s artificial horizon line (in that cockpit view), rather than in relation to the external view’s actual horizon.
If you think of the projected HUD info and the cockpit external representation as separate, you shouldn’t have a problem after some practice.
This makes even more sense when you look off to the side and up or down at the same time: the HUD’s moving horizon line stays faithful to your needed orientation reference.
Are you using In-Flight Assistant by any chance?
It has a feature called “shaky cam” which locks the cockpit view into the default position.
Really? I use the HUD all the time and haven’t had issues so far. In fact, my first step when starting a flight is to turn on the HUD.
I agree. HUD in cockpit view is a powerful augmentation to using cockpit view and works seamlessly and logically with cockpit view, in particular considering the idiosyncrasies of using cockpit view on a handheld device.
I’d love to use the real cockpit view, but for now trying to see the instruments and land is quite difficult, not because I don’t know how to read them, but because they’re too small for my eyes.
