Yeah. If you look in the 787 cockpit, you can see a button labeled “cabin chime”. I would like that to be incorporated into IF
Put it just above the ‘Request coffee from flight attendants button’.
Don’t you think developers have better stuff to me adding…
Yeah, but this isn’t that big of a feature.
Let me ask you a question: would you rather have a ‘chime’ button, or working lights?
I’m not actually sure this exists in real life, they just flick the seatbelt switch the other way…
Nice edit BTW
I use smoking lights for this not saying bad request but that’s what I do
Same, but I would like an actual cabin chime button
I’ve been on a 737-300 where they used the smoking light as a cabin chime.
Yeah, not very sophisticated but nice and useful!
I agree that it could be a fun addition. If it never came about I wouldn’t be bothered. Actual weather graphics first please.
It would be identical to the existing seatbelt and no smoking buttons. They do nothing but make the stupid noise. Just press those a bunch of times if that’s the sort of thing that gets you going.
This is also a fact. I won’t typically call a feature request a bad idea, this one included. We definitely have higher priorities.
Meh. Just use the smoking button. IRL, it’s always on anyways.
There is already
I just double tap the smoking button to signal 10000feet and such. That’s it. Nice and simple no need to make a whole nother button just for this 🙂
The cabin chime that you hear during flight is people pressing the flight attendant button
There is just something about hearing the seatbelt sign go on that is indescribable, just like when one drives into an airport.
There is a way to “call” the cabin with a high low chime by pressing 2 buttons on any of the cabin handsets, and in the cockpit by some sort of attend button, the larger planes have different sections you can call.
I completely agree. My ringtone is that “ding ding”
