Hello IFC! I’m currently ferrying the C172 down to Southern California for this weekend’s ATC. Being based in Minnesota it’s going to take me a few days to get down there. Yesterday I flew to Nebraska for my first stop, but today may have been the hardest flight. Getting over the Rockies presents various challenges such as oxygen requirements and shifting winds but I made it through alright. My destination it Telluride Regional Airport (KTEX). KTEX is the highest US airport with commercial service! Seeing the mountains form in front of me was spectacular! But without further ado, here are the pictures!
Route: KIML OGLIE V8 AKO V263 LIMEX V148 FQF V160 HBU V244 MTJ V68 ETL KTEX
Cruise: 118 knts, 16,000 feet
Departure: Goodbye plains!
Cruise: Hello Denver!
Approach: Red and white! Looking good!
Parked: Overhead drone shot!
Here is a map of all my current career routes in the C172! KICT to KLVN was my delivery and I am now going on my first cross country flight! Tomorrow’s goal is to reach Flagstaff Arizona, then Palm Springs on Friday.
