C-130 H Altitude and speed

Hi guys, I’m in a C-130 H military plane, something like this with the RAF 50 Years livery (the 3rd aircraft)
I have 80% of Load I am below MWTO and MWL
how fast should i go i’m in M 0.62 currently and altitude please i’m 34,000 ft

M0.62? That’s a bit slow my friend…

The C130-H cruises at ~292kts (~M0.75) and its service ceiling is 33000ft so no higher than that.

I recommend around 26000-28000ft with that load

I am in M.062 because it is difficult to climb even if there I am in 95% of my engines in M.062 and a wind of 37ks in 283 ° M and I am in 241 °

The C130-H can’t go higher than FL330 (33000ft) so descend to around 25000ft or so and you should be good!

Okay, I am relaxed in VS (-3000) and I have reached M 0.75, I am at 25,000 but I am in M0.70, I have a GS of around 370kts, I gain 1 hour! : D
But it’s doing well thx

But because i’m on 25,000 ft i don’t have Mach speed because is Until FL280

Oh yeah…below 28000ft aim for 292kts

So
282 Airspeed
= M. 0,70

So after a 2 minutes I’m in 292kts: D
I still have 9k kg of kerosene.
I don’t have an indicator in red or orange

Thank you for your excellent and rapid help

Most c130s are restricted to 250knots. You don’t want to push it above 300 for sure

As for that altitude, it’s a rare site to see a c130 above FL280. Yes they can technically go higher… but you’re never going to fly that high unless you’re super light and have an extreme need to go that high.

Dude! His enquires have been answered - and if you check the C130-H’s wikipedia page it says the cruise speed is 292kts.

Please don’t repeat what has already been said and provide incorrect information - thanks!

The reason we are restricted to 250 knots is actually because of painted surfaces believe it or not. But the airframe alone on an H or T model is not meant to exceed 300 really.

Mods - close this topic please - me and @David_Driggers will discuss this in PM.

We can do that if you’d like some more knowledge about the platform. But in relation to the C130 inquiry, I’m not trying to offend you, but the information given is not accurate.

Why close the topic?

Because the OPs enquires has been answered and arguments should be in PMs
