The summer Olympics games wouldn’t be complete without some aviation competition right?
The top 2 carriers SWA & AA out of PHX were greeted with fair weather and calm winds. Temperatures of 110 degrees made for a smoking (pun intended) hot spotting session.
Shooting through the fence is almost more annoying then a delayed flight, coupled with extreme heat haze and backlit conditions made the quick visit challenging, but worth it.
Let the games beings…
First up is this American A321 out of Boston. Ouch…Over compensates for a 2mph cross wind and leaves the judges scratching their heads! 🥴
Followed by American’s service from Chicago on a 12 year old 737-8. Looks promising…
And… Yes they nailed that landing, nice job 💪
Finishing up AA’s chances is a 737-8 coming in from Kansas City…🧐
!
Southwest starts off strong with a 737-8 from Denver.
Judge’s have to be happy with this one…
An Omaha arrival has this Max 8 showing concern on the competition.
Finishing strong with this quick hop from Vegas is a nice looking 737-7 completes the session.
If you were the judge who would the Gold go to? Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed.
