Busy day at san diego

SAN was using runway 09? I thought they always use 27

Currently, San Diego does technically use both ends of the runway, depending on a large number of variables.

Runway 27 is technically a localizer-only approach, and is unusable for landing when visibility drops to below 2 miles. That then forces arriving aircraft to use the opposite end of the runway, which has been done.

Other than that, 27 should normally be the arrival and departure runway in fair conditions. 09 is only used when variables prevent the use of 27.

At that time both runways were open. But i chose runway 9 so i that it would easier to go to los angles. Funny too cause when i was about to land a guy was crossing the runway at the last second
