Building Traffic at Boston Logan!

Hey Ya’ll!

Here’s a time lapse of my three hours controlling at Boston radar yesterday. Started pretty quiet but traffic built up pretty quickly, and it ended up being a super fun session! Thanks to all those that flew in and those that helped control on the ground, hope ya’ll enjoy!

Why only 27 and not other runways. With more you can have more aircraft arriving/departing

Great question! The winds at the time were ~270 @16Kts with gusts to 28Kts, making any crosswind landing/takeoff extremely difficult. There are often high winds at Boston and in situations like these they will typically use just one runway IRL to prevent any go-arounds or aborted take-offs due to wind shear.
