Brussels Airlines has been named the ‘best all-round airline in the world’, according to AirHelp, the world’s largest air passenger rights organisation.
The Belgian airline has dethroned Qatar Airways after six years. It climbed up to number one in the AirHelp Score for 2024 with an overall score of 8.12 out of 10, with a high score of 8.7 for claim processing. The airline scored very well for aircraft punctuality and the speed of customer service.
Opinion and personal experience:
As a Belgian, I myself have flown various times with Brussels Airlines and I would like to share my thoughts on it.
Previous 2 years I’ve flown Brussels Airlines to Napels and Porto and from Vienna. In Napels we got to experience the dynamic problem solving of this Airline. Due to an emergency on the runway in Naples we had to go around and divert to Rome. As of course this is outside their control they did all the paperwork needed to get us back to Naples and no hour after diverting we could safely step out in our foreseen destination.
Other than this little event this airline has never caused me in those past 3 flights any delays.
We’ll now you are probably wondering how is brussels airlines on number one above some worldclass Airlines like Emirates and Qatar?
The rating happened on several other factored other than luxurious meals and presentation. Rather the list focused on factors like reliability with schedules, ensuring good services like lost luggage, and compensation services. Perhaps sometimes overlooked and might look small, if problems happened they were always super transparent with info and they will offer excellent services.
