I just graduated from grade 2 few hours ago and on my first flight from sfo to lax i had to go around because of some stupid 737 lining up even though i said like 3 times i was inbound. A cool way to welcome someone to the expert server😂

I understand your frustrations, and unfortunately those situations are things we have to accept if no controller is staffing frequency(s). The best advice I could give you, would be to take into consideration the staffed airports - if you are looking to completely avoid this possibility. :)
You as a pilot are also obligated to maintain appropriate spacing with other aircraft as well as being attentive (i.e. checking the map for aircraft occupying the runway).

I flew to klax hoping someone would be staffing but they left before j would even arrive lol and no airport is staffed currently
If there is a plane lining up I would recommending using the “on final” command, that might make them realise more than just announcing inbound

Also, if you are on the expert server you should be using the runways realistically, at LAX, the runway 25R is used only for takeoffs, use 25L instead to land

Can I just confirm, were you JetBlue 2553? Because if so, the log shows you joined the Unicom, after they had announced takeoff, then immediately said final while they were still taking off. If that is the case, that is on you

What they might have done was yes, probably an inconvenience. However, it does not mean they are “stupid.” It’s different if you are messing around with your friends, and I’m gonna be straight forward with you that using it in that context is not respectful at all. Regardless of the cause, I would just keep in mind for future situations to take into consideration that it might have been a mistake, or something that might have been outside of there control.

Well uh… Something to know about LA is you usually have the luxury of being able to do a last minute runway change (there is no active controller which is even better), which is what I would’ve done, and messaged the person what they did was extremely unprofesisonal and see if they can apologize (in a formal manner). But can you tell me what runway you were using?

ATC not being active is a horrible excuse for the behavior shown on expert… if people want to act like fools, that is precisely what the Casual and training servers are for.
Expert server is for the ones who want realistic immersion.
