British Airways says it is “experiencing a global system outage”. Lots of delays. Not great timing as it is the bank holiday weekend.
Unfortunately these things happen and with aviation it means big delays as every second counts
watched that comment change 3 times lol
Not good timing for BA as Chatta said. If people are delayed enough rebooking everyone is gonna be a nightmare.
I think it’s really unfortunate for the passengers. I bet it must be a chaos at airports as passengers who were going for a holiday/back to home are stranded at the airport =/
I hope this problem can be fixed soon
Yes it definitely is and add the fact it’s bank holiday so there are even more people travelling it’s literal chaos. It’s a problem when we rely so heavily on ICT systems as when it goes wrong it isn’t good for anyone.
Golly gosh I wonder how many cups of stress drinking tea have been consumed in response
I think it’s far past that point… more like chugging down alcohol
You know it’s bad when a cuppa can’t make the situation better
Meh, BA and Heathrow have experienced these problems before. Better make sure you’ve got a nice seat and something to eat, that’s all I can say…
Give a tea and whiskey mixed together to any brit for instant lasting relief
Wow, how terrible. This happens all the time with Jetstar, but only at certain airports.
It may be a possible cyber attack.
BA cancels all flights from Heathrow and Gatwick until 18:00BST this evening.
City flights seem unaffected. Most likely due to the fact it’s a much smaller operation happening there.

It looks like they are working on it.
Sounds a bit like that recent WannaCry virus
Heaps of business were affected.
Ransomware has attacked several websites in several countries including in Indonesia. Although I’m not sure if Ransomware is behind this mess
Yeah I don’t think so, but there seems to be a lot of viruses and hackers around.
Get well soon British Airways!😂
