In what can only be described as a moment of collective questionable judgment, we’ve decided to add yet another moderator to our team.
Meet @Alex - because apparently, we needed someone who thinks an 18+ hour drive back to Bulgaria after a Heathrow meetup is “just a nice little road trip.” Yes, you read that right. While most of you were busy arguing about whether IFATC procedures are realistic enough, this madman was crossing half of Europe by car (which seems to be a thing for some us, including yours truly and @Ecoops123).
Most of you are probably already familiar with him, being involved in many different things related to Infinite Flight such as Airport Editing, Discord moderation and more.
When we asked Alex about his moderation philosophy, he muttered something about “having plenty of time to contemplate community guidelines somewhere between France and Austria.”
Because nothing says “I’m ready to moderate IFC” quite like spending two days straight listening to European radio stations in every language imaginable and questioning your life choices.
His primary qualification? Well, if someone can survive that kind of drive without losing their mind, they can probably handle your heated debates about whether the 787’s pitch rate is accurate. Plus, he’s clearly demonstrated an impressive ability to stay awake for concerning periods of time - perfect for those late-night moderation shifts!
Please join us in welcoming Alex to the team! And no, flagging a post won’t summon him on another cross-continental journey to resolve your dispute about proper holding pattern entry procedures. Though let’s be honest, he’d probably do it.
The Infinite Flight Staff & Moderation Team (and a bit of Claude…)
Congratulations Alex! (Why don’t we have a dancing blob emoji I can use here 😭)
In all seriousness, you’ll be a great addition to the Infinite Flight Moderation Team! You’ve been a great Discord Mod as well as helping out in so many support topics here that I’ve lost count.
