Dear IFC,
On Monday, I went to the Paris Bourget Airshow.
During this week-long show, weekdays are dedicated for aviation companies, CEOs, and politicians to show off their aviation products to each other, and on the weekend, an airshow is organized for the general public.
I had the fabulous opportunity to get a free ticket to the professional (closed to the public) days, and it was fantastic! I visited on Monday, and was able to meet many great people and learn about many fascinating companies, projects, and ideas surrounding the world of aviation.
The place was enormous. With thousands of exhibits and over a hundred aircraft, it was an awesome day.
I met up with @Laura to watch the flight demonstrations. Here are some of the pictures I took during the show.
(These do not include ground exhibit images, which I will share… later)
Here is a Tigre helicopter (which did some really impressive aerobatics) and an Air France 777 in the background (which did a bit less aerobatics :)
The beautiful A321XLR doing a very steep takeoff during Macron’s inauguration speech.
And coming in for a funky landing
The beautiful Dassault Falcon 6X doing some fly-bys and low passes
The 737Max (737-10) showing off it’s maneuvering characteristics
The 777X making a very impressive takeoff that managed to get a few gasps out of a usually quiet audience.
The 777X making a wingwave and flyby
Preparing to butter in front of potential customers
The mighty lightning taking off and pulling up
The baby C17 for @AvioesEJogos
The prettiest livery in the show, the beautiful Profit Hunter, straight from Brazil
Thanks a lot for having a look at these pictures!
Expect some pics of the ground exhibits in not too long :)
Have a nice week!
Robertine
