Even though I’ve been eviscerated to grade 2, after incorrectly aligning to the proper heading while approaching an airport and getting a level 3 violation for it, I still want to continue testing the Bombardier Challenger 350’s range. Currently I’ve maxed it out at a little over 5,000nm, however today, I’m at Tokyo Heneda to hopefully reach a 5,135nm flight with the tiny aircraft. This topic will be my unprofessional data sheet, announcing flights I’m doing live. I’m about 5 minutes from take-off in (unfortunately) the training server. Wish me luck!
Currently calculating to see if I can divert to Las Vegas, extending my route to possibly 5,200nm+
Update: I’ve switched the route to now be from Tokyo(HND) to Las Vegas(LAS)
5,276nm / 9h30m
NEW RECORD: I have now taken the Challenger from Tokyo to Las Vegas in 9h17m, with a distance of 5,276nm. I’m now heading to Hawaii, which is unrelated from testing
wow nice 9 hrs in a challenger
Not exactly range testing, however doing some durability, stability, and diagnostics that will help improvise future calculations to make flight times longer
Are you back at Grade 3 now?
Yes
Attempted to complete a 15 hour flight with the E175, but due to busy airspace and the controller diverting my planned course, I couldn’t land. When I tried to divert, I got Level 2 violated (after announcing 0 minutes of fuel). So here’s a graph of as much of the flight as I could do
Doing some more testing in Canada. This will tie into the hopes of extending the range of my flights to possibly 5000nm+ consistently.
I NEED to try some of these
