Boeing Partners With Aerion for Supersonic Travel

Yes you are right! Boeing just announced a partnership with Aerion to accelerate supersonic travel.

Boeing states ““Boeing is leading a mobility transformation that will safely and efficiently connect the world faster than ever before.”

Boeing will provide engineering, manufacturing and flight test resources, as well as strategic vertical content, to bring Aerion’s AS2 supersonic business jet to market.

The AS2 is designed to fly at speeds up to Mach 1.4 or approximately 1,000 miles (1,609 kilometers) per hour. With the ability to fly up to 70 percent faster than today’s business jets, the AS2 will save approximately three hours on a transatlantic flight.

The aircraft is slated for first flight in 2023.

This business jet is going to be amazing and when it flies I would love to see it in Infinite Flight!

That thing looks crazy😱
I also dont believe it willbe supersonic due to the design of the wings. They are designed more like a propeller wing than a jet wing
