About Britannia Airways
Britannia Airways is a british charter airline based in the UK. It was founded in 1961 as Euravia, and in 1964 the airline was rebranded Britannia Airways. It became the world’s largest holiday airline. Britannia main bases were at Gatwich, Manchester, Luton & Birmingham just to name a few. Their fleet consisted of: B737-300/500/800, B757-200, B767-200/300ER.
Britannia Airways was rebranded as Thomsonfly back in may 2005, after the parent company were bought by TUI AG Germany as part of a wider reorganisation of TUI’s operations in the UK.
