Boeing 777 series light rework

What we want in this rework:

  • Working flaperons ( feature by: @Toon )
  • Working kruger flap ( feature by: @bvv_19s )
  • New textures ( like reflection)
  • Better engine animation
  • Better Flap sounds.
  • Better nose cone
  • Proper landing gear animation
  • Make the 777 a little more powerful
  • Roll spoilers and proper engine size
  • Proper wing mounting and thickness
  • Proper rudder deflection
  • New engine pylon shape

Why vote for this:

  • The 777 is a fantastic aircraft in infinite flight but has room for improvement as it is in real life a very stunning bird. Many airlines love this jet how powerful it is!!
  • This aircraft also bought many new technologies to modernize travel ✈️.
What is a Kruger flap?

A Kruger flap is a type of leading-edge high-lift device used on certain aircraft, including the Boeing 777. Its primary function is to improve the aerodynamic performance of the wing at lower speeds, such as during takeoff and landing.

The Kruger flap extends forward from the leading edge of the wing, creating a gap that helps to delay airflow separation and increase lift. This design allows the wing to achieve a higher angle of attack without stalling, making it particularly useful for maintaining lift and control during slower flight phases.

In the Boeing 777, the Kruger flaps are part of the wing’s leading-edge high-lift system, which also includes other devices like slats and slotted flaps

What is a Flaperon?

In the Boeing 777, a flaperon is a dual-function aerodynamic surface that combines the functions of a flap and an aileron.

  • Flap Function: When deployed, the flaperon acts like a conventional flap, increasing lift and allowing for better performance during takeoff and landing by enhancing the wing’s lift characteristics.
  • Aileron Function: In its normal position, the flaperon functions as an aileron, helping to control roll by adjusting the wing’s lift on one side relative to the other.

This dual functionality helps optimize aerodynamic performance across different phases of flight. The use of flaperons in the 777 contributes to the aircraft’s efficient handling and operational flexibility.

Bro I was going to make a topic on this myself but you beat me to it so yes I am so voting for this

Also in this rework you should add proper rudder deflection too!

flaps already sound, they just dont sound if u have both engines off, if u have at least one engine on they’ll sound in the cockpit, happens with every aircraft in game though

Would love to see the proper landing gear animations!

Yeah just better flap sounds!

I just can´t believe that we need to make these kind of requests. Devs should´ve done it already!! its so frustrating, we waited months and payed to have the 777 rework, and they leave it incomplete!!, really? so where did my money went.

They did do 4 777 variants in less than a year including the 757 that came out a couple months later so it makes sense why the quality of them isn’t as good as current reworked aircraft

yes they did, but they use the same wing, the same fuselage, the same rudder, etc. it could´ve been corrected a long time ago.

we haven’t get an answer of why is it like that, performance?, bugs?, or something that is not an excuse?.

I dont see any of that.

It’s not their priority right now. As much as we want the 777 fixed, the developers aren’t going to just stop doing what they’re currently working on just to fix bugs on an aircraft fleet that are pretty minor.

I´ll give you the point on that, it never has been.

sorry but I lost all hope to see corrections on IF. its always like this.

Not quite. I have seen minor fixes done on the 777s from time to time. A recent one that I remember was adjusting the aoa on the 777-300er during final approach. I’ve also heard that the engine fans are also suppose to be getting fix in a future update.

There’s several layers of this that you don’t seem to be willing to understand. Not saying this in a condescending way but I’m fairly certain I’ve replied to you about these things in the past.

  • “Inventing” certain features that did not exist in the past takes time. Time you might find is well worth waiting, but the majority disagrees with you.
  • If something in terms of shape or similar on the 3D model is discovered late in the process, we need to weigh in if it’s worth correcting or not. And this is simply because reshaping something on the 3D model will completely destroy all work on texture level that’s been done.
  • We always prefer quality over quantity. That’s something I believe is made clear. But at some point you have to stop and say “How nitpicky should we be considering 0,004% will care?”.

Sure, we could spend 2-3 years on every model. But how do you think the majority of users would react to that? :)

We improve as we learn but nothing will ever be 100% perfect. And I personally believe we’ve been pretty clear about that. There will always be room for improvement.

There is definitely something in this feature request that is worth exploring, but let’s be realistic also :)

Like this, I don’t even know what to say in that case. It’s as authentic GE90 sounds as you can get… in rather high quality.

Yeah like a bit better sounds

So you want better when it’s already as good as it can get considering it’s authentic high quality sounds from a 777? What do you imagine could be “better”?

Ok ill remove that but the engine animations and the textures from the A380 will make this aircraft a diamond!

I Think the mayority would want to have the most accurate features possible.

what if they just animate the flaperons, correct the rudder deflection?, animations only, that has nothing to do with changing chunks from the 3D model. I can´t understand why is such a big deal.

I guessing variation with the sounds like having Rolls Royce sounds on the 777s with those engines.

We dont need such good engine sounds
