Hey IFC!
I would love to see the engines blades spinning while the engines are running, instead of the grey texture that we already have
Tell me what do you think, and mods if this is a duplicate please close it
Would you like to see this?

sorry i had to
While this is a great idea, it wouldnāt be all that realistic. In real life when the engines are running you seem then as IF currently has them. While on plane spotting images/videos you see the blades because the camera is capturing the blades in a specific location, for a video it just takes many pictures all at once and gives the impression that the blades are somewhat visible while spinning. When in reality, the human eye canāt see it that quick therefore it becomes a āblurā thus IF is more realistic having the current setup
This also seems like it would be very complicated and maybe not the best use of the devs time
Devs may choose to leave this out just for performance logistics, but who knows š¤·āāļø
Yeah, I thought the same, maybe project metal will allow things like that
Wow, I have never thought of it like that. And now I canāt unsee it š
I personally dont see how much extra strain thisāll put regardless of the motion blur the devs put.
I believe the blades are just seen through a camera, so why would we need this in IF ?
This isnāt realistic I dont think because when you are taking a photo you are capturing the blade at a specific position but when you are viewing it in real time you canāt see any of the blades
As someone who works around jet engines I canāt say I have ever seen the blades while the engine is running, and Iām certainly not getting any closer to check.
Yeah Iād keep the distance from the engine hahaha
Thank you for doing this thread. I will try to free a vote.
@clemphrd @Alex_Kraz @Hugo.fr look at this !
I agree here, with the GE90s especially
