Boeing 777 engines blades

Hey IFC!

I would love to see the engines blades spinning while the engines are running, instead of the grey texture that we already have

Tell me what do you think, and mods if this is a duplicate please close it

Would you like to see this?

definitely swapping a vote for this!

While this is a great idea, it wouldn’t be all that realistic. In real life when the engines are running you seem then as IF currently has them. While on plane spotting images/videos you see the blades because the camera is capturing the blades in a specific location, for a video it just takes many pictures all at once and gives the impression that the blades are somewhat visible while spinning. When in reality, the human eye can’t see it that quick therefore it becomes a ā€œblurā€ thus IF is more realistic having the current setup

This also seems like it would be very complicated and maybe not the best use of the devs time

Devs may choose to leave this out just for performance logistics, but who knows šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Yeah, I thought the same, maybe project metal will allow things like that

Wow, I have never thought of it like that. And now I can’t unsee it šŸ˜‚

I personally dont see how much extra strain this’ll put regardless of the motion blur the devs put.

I believe the blades are just seen through a camera, so why would we need this in IF ?

This isn’t realistic I dont think because when you are taking a photo you are capturing the blade at a specific position but when you are viewing it in real time you can’t see any of the blades

As someone who works around jet engines I can’t say I have ever seen the blades while the engine is running, and I’m certainly not getting any closer to check.

Yeah I’d keep the distance from the engine hahaha
