I’m talking about flying it in IF.
Flew on this beauty from Santiago to São Paulo Guarulhos airport in 2019. Luckily enough I was in premium economy so it was quite enjoyable.
New Yorker here,
Delta flies them into jfk a lot, I always have to rub my eye due to its striking resemblance to the 777… until I remember… delta retired those 😭
Voted, love the 767 just not the one in infinite flight-
Any reason as of why? I understand they didn’t need the B777-200LR anymore due to the A350-900 on order and COVID-19 hitting but why did they retire the -200er? I think it would’ve been perfect for transatlantic and transcontinental flights along with the B767-300er and -400 and the A330s.
I don’t remember, but ik they where pretty young
Why did Delta retired 777,it such a perfect plane.
It is odd that they retire the 777 and keep the 767
(Interesting move by delta)
I just want to see both of them in the skies again 😭
The ERs were actually older than the LRs by the better part of a decade. Since they retired the 77L, Delta can generally no longer to JNB-ATL nonstop, requiring a fuel stop in Cape Town due to JNB’s elevation and the shorter range and lower MTOW of the A359.
I understand but I guess they could’ve kept the -200ERs for the transatlantic flights to Europe. They could’ve opened new flights to JFK, ATL and possibly LAX. Maybe to DTW and MSP but the A330 has that covered. I was thinking the B777-200ER could’ve flown from secondary European cities like for e.g: Manchester in the UK to places like JFK, ATL and LAX. It is an interesting move from Delta to retire the B777 but not the B767.
I don’t really know that Malaysia Airlines had Boeing 767-200 till I google it.But in the past,it is call Air Malaysia.
The old Lauda livery would definitely be something to behold on the 767!
Definitely! Niki Lauda deserved it.
Delta still flies their 306 seat A350s from Johannesburg to Atlanta non-stop (as of this comment),
Ngl I’m still mad at AA for retiring their 767s and 757s
It wasn’t exactly the best decision long term.
Love to see it!
