Joe Sutter is one of the greatest engineers to ever live. He is also one of the greatest artists!
And that explains how despite having a bulge, the 747 is still alluring. Just…look at it, everytime you see one takeoff, your eyes will want to water with pride.
We need so many livery’s that just don’t exist in Infinite Flight! Are they retired yet?
737MAX? Yucky.
Ahh, always the 744 inbound to a snowy CTS, glorious stuff right here.
I know we’ve talked about how much we love the BA retros on here recently, so here are links to vote for them!
It would be great to have these in Infinite flight before they retire!
13 votes left till 500. Please just 13 votes from 13 more people and we will have reached a new milestone. It’s very important for us to get the 747 noticed on IFC!
500 is a massive milestone! The 747 has been neglected for so long now we have the chance to get it the recognition it deserves. Every vote counts people!
Me too, kind of like a system where you put however many votes you want out of your total votes into a single feature.
If I had a choice I’d put all 8 into the 747 thread.
I wish that too! If I could I would put 7 here and the other 3 would be for the BA retro 747s. The best we can do is find other 747 fans and encourage them to vote!
yeah i definitely agree. The A340 is nearly “unflyable” (is that even a word?)
yessir! Hopefully in the near future maybe🤷🏽♂️
So many great livery’s have been retired from the 747! It’s not too late for the rest of them though. 11 more votes people, come on let’s make 500 by the end of the week!
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on to the feelin’
We can do it, 500 by the end of the week if we really wanted it bad. 500 and above and the 747 thread will have reached new realms that we never thought we could have. Weeks ago this thread was sitting at a paltry 340 votes, we’ve overtaken multiple threads to get to where we were this day, and we must keep it up!
It is now ever more imperative for us to reach 500 votes by the end of next week - as the next update draws closer, the developers will begin their research and development for the update after the Boeing 777 release. The Boeing 747 rightfully deserves her place, as so far, we have 2 Airbus aircraft with functional cockpits and a complete suite of features, while for Boeing, there’s only one, and the Boeing 777 won’t be released for another month or so.
Therefore, we must do everything within our power to ensure, firstly, we reach 500 votes or beyond, and secondly, we ensure we have more than enough liveries on demand, as well as a wishlist for an extended suite of features. The Boeing 747, Queen Of The Skies shall never be forsaken. Here’s a KLM Boeing 747-406(M), reg. PH-BFV to remind us of our objective.
Taken by Mikko Mertanen at EFHK/HEL on August 2018
And to think that KLM reneged on their initial decision to retire their Boeing 747-400M sub-fleet, I think to them, that -
Being without [her]
Takes a lot of getting used to
Should learn to live without it,
But [they] don’t want to
I believe more often than not we need visual depictions of the Queen in order to remind us what it’s really about:
What can be better?

Woah this thread is gaining momentum!
Speaking about legends though I really love the B380 and her dancing ailerons, I’m also madly in love with the B747 who’s ONLY 140 VOTES SHORT of the A380 (see my Live Instrument Development Chart below) and so hoping soon the queen will be able to win it, or even better, both legends got a special update by the devs! :)
IF LIVE INSTRUMENT DEVELOPMENT CHART
Smaller guys: A319 (live instruments available)
Small guys: A320 (available) compare with: B737 (unavailable, 518 VOTES)
Big guys: A350 (available) compare with: B777 (in progress)
Even bigger, legendary guys: A380 (unavailable, 618 VOTES!) compare with: B747 (unavailable, 478 VOTES AND COUNTING!)
Keep em votes comin, Cheers!
A319 < > B737-700 (okay, u got a point here)
A350 < > B787 (which was state of the art as of its release and is still very good)
Don’t complain please, we all (yes, even the developers of this game) are interested in high quality aircrafts. It takes some time and it’s surely a hard decision to make which aircraft to rework. We had a vote and a Boeing aircraft is now being worked on.
Regarding the A320: as said by the devs multiple times, the A320 series was ready for a live cockpit already and since they developed instruments for the A350 anyways, why hold it back on other compatible planes?
I know you want the B747 rework badly, but please don’t compare things which aren’t comparable.
