In my view they both safe to fly on I flew in both. Nearly the same just the MAX is obviously newer that all 🙂 and more fuel Efficient

If we’re talking comfort as well (I have flown on an SWA -800 and MAX-8) I found the MAX a lot more comfier as the seats are slightly larger and it is also noticeably quieter

Two operators of the MAX have started up service again!
Correndon Airlines and Royal Air Maroc have both started up again, Correndon currently holds a single aircraft while R.A.M has 2 of them in serivce, but of course more will be joining both fleets in the future! All 3 of the aircraft mentioned are the MAX-8 variant, and here are two pictures of the liveries:
