Boeing 737 MAX 9

I’m not sure about this, but i know that the max9 will take a looong time before it makes it way into the sim

They said that it was added due to the similarities it had when compared to the 333, the one that was reworked at the time

I mean… the similarities it had could be compared to the A332, since that one was just a fuselage length shortage instead of a new winglet and engine.

Would be great to have the MAX 9 and also the 10 but the 10 not in service yet ?

All MAX variants mostly differ in fuselage length and performance… we could see the MAX 7,9 and 10 but it’ll take some time to develop them.

Since those aircraft lack operators I’d rather see aircraft that need “small” changes to existing ones like the A332, A343, A35K etc.

Sure would here is the MAX 10 for Ryanair not till another 2 years.

Not only the length shortage, also the tail was a meter higher and the main difference: The performance

All three of these are not very good examples of what you’re trying to express; the A330-900neo would be one that required small changes to an existing aircraft however.

(The A332 has been mentioned already so I’m not going to do so again.)

The A343 has different engines, wings, landing gear and of course fuselage length from the A346 - the physics would need quite a substantial rework as well.

It’s a similar situation for the A35K, where modifications in all areas mentioned above have to be made to the existing A359. Not a “small” change in comparison to the A339 (from the A333) by any means.

Speaking of the MAX had there been any more WIP pics on discord ?

It’s been less than a week since they showed off the Engine…

The A343 is very similar to the A333. It’s mostly just different engines and an added gear

Physics and performance wise, not as much as the A339.

The A343 is also slightly taller and longer; the wings would also need a bit of work as there will be two engines and therefore pylons on each wing instead of one.

One reason why they probably didn’t add the Max 9 could be because there isn’t a profile created for it on Simbrief. Simbrief has profiles for most IF aircraft and many users utilize it for flight planning and this has become even more easier for users since they added direct integration into the sim in 24.3. With that being said, there are profiles already created for the Airbus A320 Neo (A20N), the A321 Neo (A21N), and the Max 8 (B38M), but none currently available for the Max 9. Also, the A320 and A321 Neos have been confirmed for the sim, which kind of connects the dots for me at least. Another would be limited operators like most people said. Would be nice to have the Max 9 in the sim regardless.

IF won’t develop aircraft based off of Simbrief. It’s developed with inputs from real-world pilots, official documentation, and real-world data. For the MAX 8 at least, Simbrief is rather inaccurate. There is zero publicly available data on the MAX 9 presently.

Nice try, but no cigar. Simbrief has nothing to do with what planes get developed.

that would be cool, but i think the MAX 9 might have a slightly shorter fuel range than the 8

I appreciate the reply. However, I wasn’t trying to suggest that infinite flight aircraft are built using data from simbrief. Rather, suggest that when it comes to setting up a flight, there’s no profile there to calculate load and fuel, which is why Infinite Flight even added Simbrief integration for aircraft in the first place. I do understand infinite flight aircraft are built with data coming from pilots, irl data and official documentation. With that being said, I think Simbrief can be accurate when you take the profiles and tweak the values to what is displayed in infinite flight by saving a new airframe.

They have a strong presence at LAX
