Unfortunately I think they are because it would probably be easier to work on the max 7, 9, and 10 at the same time. The max 10 is very close to being certified and was originally supposed to certified by the end of September. Obviously, there are some delays but I can’t imagine it will be years away
Here is a livery I would love to see with the MAX 9 in the sim. We have pink on the NEO and blue on the 8.

Yea atp it’s a dumb move. Why not just add them each individually. It’s not fair that we got 2/3 of the A320 Neo family. But we can’t even get word on the 737 max family. This would be so easy to add. I prefer the 9 over the 8
I understand it is frustrating especially if you are waiting for that one aircraft you want. That’s how I felt when they picked the 737 max 8. Remember we do only have 1 variant in service while I think the a320neo is still in production. Only the devs know. There are also other things people want. Such as the 787, 767 reworks, better lights, weather, and just other features. There are also things along with the max 7, 9, and 10 that people want but we have no confirmation on if or when they may happen. Things like the a220-100, 757F, and757-300. These are all aircraft that have another variant in the game. Also, the long you wait the better features they may have. The devs can’t please all. I get it feels unfair, but it really isn’t

I’ll admit when I am wrong and I am wrong. I was honestly not expecting the a320NEO to be in progress. I also think you are right. The 737 max 10 will probably be certified by the end of the year and if they start working on the rest of the max family it could be done sooner. They also could just develop the max 10 and hold off on releasing it until it’s certified
Yellow on the Dash 8 as well, Green and Boreal Blue (turquoise) are the only modern Icelandair colors we don’t have. Green on the MAX 9 and Boreal on the potential 767 rework down the line would complete the lineup.
The older livery was just better in general on both Max 8 and 9 lol

Besides the MAX 9, Is there a MAX 8 thread ? Or an appreciation one like this one ? MAX 7 seems to have one but not the 8.

Definitely I’m convinced we’ll see it in 2027 for definite. As they say things are really going to move in 2027.

Bumping this…the Max 9 would be a lovely addition considering all the A320 love lately! The Max 9 has slowly become more of a backbone for transcontinental routes and much more!
