Introduction

The Boeing 737 MAX 9 is without a doubt one of the most sophisticated narrow bodies flying today. Bringing together efficiency, distance, and passenger comfort, as there is an already existing 737-900 in infinite flight, the 737-MAX 9 would be an even better addition to the fleet as it is a next generation aircraft. Times in aviation are changing, and now new aircraft with more efficiency and modern designs are perfect for the infinite flight fleet. Also, the 737 MAX 9 would further add to the fleet of new generation cockpits of infinite flight and also help add to the wide range of aviation enthusiasts who are eager to try out the latest aviation technology.

Aircraft Description

The Boeing 737 MAX 9 is a member of the 737 MAX family. The 737 MAX family represents Boeing’s fourth generation of the 737 series. The MAX 9 is targeted at the replacement of Boeing 737-900ER. The aircraft features a longer range, lower fuel consumption, and advanced fly-by-wire electronics. The MAX 9 measures 42.16 meters in length, or 138 feet 4 inches, and is able to carry up to 220 passengers in one class configuration and up to 178 passengers in a two-class configuration. The aircraft is powered by two CFM International LEAP-1B engines, which burn less fuel and generate less noise than previous generations.

Development

The Boeing 737 MAX series began development in 2011 with a view toward demand for less fuel-intensive aircraft in the narrow-body category.
First flying on April 13, 2017, the 737 MAX 9 was certified by the FAA in February of 2018. The aircraft features the latest technology with improved aerodynamics, winglets, and engines, such as the LEAP-1B. Improvement in these areas has provided a 14% increase in fuel efficiency compared to the previous 737 Next Generation models.
Although there were problems in the grounding period due to safety concerns with the MCAS system, Boeing has worked extensively with the regulators and airlines in order to solve these issues. The Boeing 737 MAX 9 is one of the models in the recertified MAX family line flying back into service-quite safe and reliable for airlines across the world.

Why should this aircraft be added into infinite flight?

Since the MAX 8 will be added into the sim later, With the size of the 737 MAX family, i believe that the MAX 8 out of all variants would not be enough to accommodate the 737’s in infinite flight. Having said, i believe that the MAX 9 will be a perfect fit to be added into infinite flight, as the aircraft is very similar to the MAX 8 and has many orders and deliveries (and its still growing!). This is why i believe that the MAX 9 would be a great addition to the growing infinite flight fleet.

We have the -900ER why not the Max9! Got my vote

We 100% need this. TBH I was expecting them to do the MAX series and the NEO series but I guess not. I would love to see this in the game wearing an Alaska Airlines Livery!

Voting 100%. They have the variants of the 737 and 777 so I’m not sure why’d you have to make a poll to get the Max 9. It’s just a lengthened Max 8 (correct me if I’m wrong please).

This has certainly got my vote! I’ve always been a big fan of having all aircraft variants reworked rather than just one from each family, so I would love to see the Boeing 737 MAX 9 in the simulator at some point in the future.

The thing is many airlines that have ordered the 9 aint represented in the 8 or uses both types. Airlines such as Copa, United, Alaska, Aeromexico, IceAir, Turkish, SCAT, FlyDubai, Corendon, Air Tanzania. These are some of the airlines using the aircraft in the active usage. It will be a fair argument to use that most of them are represented already in the future addition of the 8, but some airlines are dependant on 9, such as the mentioned airlines! Would be a great addition this one with 8. The same goes for the Airbus A320Neo series both the A320Neo and the A321Neo/LR would beeen great to include as they would complete the whole fleets until B37M, B3XM and A321XLR (already certified) and more data about them come available! Just my honest thought that I am sure many agrees with!

Yeah for sure. IF seems to avoid doing more than 1 variant even if they are just as popular as the variant they are doing.

Doing the 9 wouldnt hurt at all! I dont know about developing airframes, but I know for sure it takes time by the comments the dev have posted! I would honestly have The B38M, B39M, A20N, A21N with the A35K in the future!

Thing is, the MAX 9 is fairly just a stretched MAX 8 (I think) so logically speaking it won’t take that much time to develop once the MAX is ready

I would love to have it and fly Copa and Alaska routes!
