Boeing 737 MAX 7

Alaska wouldn’t surprise me. It would be a good replacement for their short airfield ops.

I’m surprised Alaska hasn’t ordered them sooner. They recently revealed that they’re replacing the Hawaiian 717s with older 737-800s.

That news shocked me tbh. Older NGs wouldn’t be my go to for 717 replacements.

Let alone -800s. The -700 would somewhat make sense, but the -800 is an absolutely massive capacity increase over the 717.

They must have thought Southwest wasn’t getting the Max 7 any time soon since Southwest currently island hops with their Max 8s. That will change over the next several months.

I have a hunch that they might switch over to the MAX 7 now that it’s certified

I hope united orders them tbh

They might to replace their older 737-700s and A319s

Absolutely. I’m betting they will place an order at the 2027 Air Show for 100 -MAX 7s.

Definitely another 100% possibility right there.

100? More like 30 or less. Alaska is focusing more on bigger jets like the 737 Max 10. The Max 7 would be more for Alaska milk runs, low demand routes, and Hawaii island hopping

Y’all should make a bet. I’ve got money on under 100, but over 40 :joy:

Actually you are right. But it would probably make sense if they gave them to Hawaiian if they do.
