Reviewing again, my sense of the odds are:

  1. your original comment is related to trying to intercept the glideslope from above (making the glideslope always below you), rather than approaching at level altitude with the glideslope above you (for example, at 3000ft agl, far enough from the airport to be below gs, as recommended).

  2. your screen print represents a glideslope that was originally captured (green GS lock, but with purple diamond pegged downwards), but lost as your aircraft failed to descend with the glideslope.
