Continuing our global search for underappreciated routes and liveries, we find ourselves at Manas International Airport in the Kyrgyzstani capital of Bishkek to fly on Air Manas; an airline that had an interesting history. At the time of their closure, ZM flew a single route (the one this post is about) with a single A220 that is now stored due to sanctions in russia as a result of the invasion of Ukraine. Despite all this drama as we’ll call it, this livery was still on my bucketlist, and… well… I needed a good excuse to fly around central Asia and enjoy the amazing landscapes it has to offer!
Oh… and one more thing – @AvioesEJogos peek a boo it’s your favorite plane!

After a turkish airlines red-eye from Istanbul, and some interesting local cuisine for breakfast, all 100 of us passengers were bussed out to a hardstand where our beautiful 2019 built A220 awaited us under a gloomy sky from the past few days’ rainstorm. Soon we were on our way to Osh!
Rotation after a very brief 20 second T/O roll with those beautifully whale like PW1500G engines coming to life!
Banking south-west towards Osh with the breath taking Tian Shan mountain range towering above Bishkek!
Cruising over central Kyrgyzstan at 24,000
Beginng our initial descent with more beautiful snow capped peaks
On approach over the farmlands of the Osh Province
Short final with Gora Babash-Ata in the back ground
Playing A330 with this landing
Safely disembarking
Bonus shot of a Jazeera A320 departing to Kuwait City as a picked up my rental car!
