Anybody got any suggestions?
Would prefer if it isn’t too expensive, or free if you know any?
Wix is a great option:
It is free for the most part and looks very professional!
Weebly and Wix are really good and it’s free of cost.
Im using google sites
I chose Wix. Great site maker.
What VA are you forming @Aslan_S?
Wix is a widely recognized website builder that may appear user-friendly at first glance, but it has been heavily criticized by both industry professionals and users. One of the most significant problems is that the code generated by Wix is often bloated and inefficient, resulting in slow page loading times and poor search engine optimization. Furthermore, Wix is known for being restrictive in terms of customization options and can be challenging to work with if you require more advanced features.
If you are looking for a better alternative, I highly recommend using Webflow. However, it’s important to note that while Webflow offers a “drag and drop” interface, it does require some knowledge of HTML and CSS to use effectively, such as how sections, containers, and div blocks work. While it may not be the easiest tool to use, the end result can be stunning. Notably, Apple.com uses the same technology and design principles as Webflow.
I suggest checking out Webflow’s YouTube series, where they demonstrate how to use the builder and how CSS, JavaScript, and HTML function. The videos are also entertaining and engaging. Here’s a preview of what the interface looks like:
Do you think Google Sites is ok for a VA website?
Google Sites is okay, but I still recommend Webflow over it. I switched to Webflow in 2021 and never looked back.
Do I need my own domain for web flow?
Absolutely not! In fact, I have a great example to prove it. Check out this website I built entirely for free using the default Webflow domain:
As you can see, it’s possible to create a professional-looking website without spending a dime or settling for subpar website builders
Looks amazing.
Will definitely try it out tonight.
Will send you updates as I recreate my website.
Thank you so much.
You’re welcome! I hope you have fun building your website. If you encounter any difficulties, feel free to let me know as Webflow can be a bit challenging to work with. As I mentioned before, I highly recommend checking out the Webflow 101 series on YouTube, which provides a great introduction to using the platform.
