According to the airport’s official website, you can planespot at the top of the long-term parking garage

I dont know any local people from the community that are in San Antonio

I’d just always be careful that, if you’re spotting somewhere for the first time, check in with local authorities that what you’re doing (planespotting) and where you doing it is within the law. I’ve heard of people that have been talked to by law enforcement before because they misinterpreted planespotting as something in relations to a potential act of terrorism (crazy allegations, but still 😭). Some people don’t understand our love for aviation, or planespotting, and as a result, had this misconception. I’m sure you’ll be fine though

Yeah that’s where I had gotten my information. I didn’t click on the link here, but I remember seeing something similar for the SpotterGuide page for MCO, and figured that it must hold up, to at least some extent, to SAT.

Some youtuber got arrested in Greece or something for plane spotting. Thought that he was a terrorist or was trying to commit a PAP.

I know locations but again I have been stoped by police for staying in areas they said I could be arrested for trespassing even tho I was in a cell phone lot
