Best online editing software?

Hi! Back with another question. What site should I use to touch up photos. Ex. I got a Shot of a UPS 748 at FL 380 and it’s blurry. What can I do on a Chromebook to make it look crisp and better

Hey! If you’re on a Chromebook, your best options for touching up a blurry photo are web-based or Android-compatible apps. Here are some good choices:

  1. Web-Based Editors (No Download Required)
  • Fotor – Has an AI sharpening tool to improve clarity.
  • Pixlr – A solid Photoshop alternative with sharpening and de-noise tools.
  • Photopea – Like Photoshop but runs in a browser; has an Unsharp Mask filter for crisping up details.
  • Let’s Enhance – AI-powered enhancer for improving resolution and sharpness.
  1. Android Apps (If Your Chromebook Supports Google Play)
  • Snapseed – Google’s own powerful free editor, with a sharpening tool.
  • Remini – Uses AI to sharpen blurry images, especially useful for aircraft at high altitudes.
  • Adobe Lightroom Mobile – Has AI-enhanced detail recovery.

Best approach for your UPS 747-8 shot:

  1. Upload it to Fotor, Pixlr, or Photopea and use their sharpening tools.
  2. Try AI-based tools like Let’s Enhance or Remini to recover details.
  3. Adjust contrast, clarity, and sharpness manually to fine-tune the result.

If the photo is really blurry due to heat distortion or extreme zoom, sharpening tools can help, but there’s a limit to how much detail can be recovered.

Extreme zoom is what it is

Extreme zoom can definitely cause that kind of blur. To improve it, you can try using AI-powered tools like Reminior Let’s Enhance, which help recover details. Additionally, you could sharpen the image manually in apps like Pixlr or Photopea . Reducing the noise and adjusting contrast might also help bring out more detail. If you plan to take high-zoom shots in the future, using a tripod or stabilizing your camera can reduce that blur too.

Blurry is unfixable. Can I see the shot?

Topaz Sharpen AI can sometimes fix stuff but I’m assuming this is not fixable given your gear and the circumstances

here is picture

Yeah not fixable unfortunately, higher shutter speed next time and more zoom

I was at max zoom, and I need to learn how to change my shutter speed

If that’s max zoom you’re going to have issues doing this style of shot unless you are super high MP. What is the gear?

Canon EOS Rebel XTi 400D with a Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens

I have the best pants I know

Just up the shutter speed but I would not expect anything good at cruise

I’ll find out how to do that. Ty

I also had ones that were on arrival to EWR at like 10,000, but the were also blurry. I will send them tomorrow

Can we agree as a collective forum to stop copy pasting from GPT lol at least put your own spin on it

Most of the editing is gonna be if you have a shot up close and you wanna make it a little clearer. Anything from that distance isn’t going to be editable to make it clearer.

I don’t know what you’re talking about lol.

I’m being serious, if they wanted a GPT answer they could just look it up in two seconds on GPT

It’s not all ChatGPT I blend My knowledge and what I’ve personally experienced with what the AI has to say. It allows for better answers because if I can’t remember every online editing software out there it does.

Back on topic, A good example of something that is not going to be edible to make it clearer is this:

I could try to sharpen it, but overall that really wouldn’t do much in fact it might actually make it worse and more grainy. That photo was only at 4,000 feet
