Best iPad for IF

Hi all, thinking of upgrading from my Lenovo tablet to an iPad so I can get better FPS and will be able to use it for my flight training. So what iPads do you all use? I’m thinking of getting the 2025 iPad 11. Thanks

The iPad (11th Gen) is definitely a good option. Should be able to run all settings on high.

I personally use an M2 iPad Air - iPad Air is slightly more pricey than the base iPad however will offer even better frame rate (particularly at busy airports).

the iPad mini, despite being small it can run IF on max graphics, and I’m using it for my PPL

Considering the future graphic update, I suggest going straight for M chip if your budget allows.

I’m a big apple nerd so here’s some info.

First Tip:

IPad air is Better than the pros. Although the pros are very powerful the Air isn’t that far behind. The current IPad Air comes in M2 which is as powerful as a laptop and more than you need for Infinite Flight. Also not to mention it is more cheaper than other options at around 500 dollars. I use an IPad Air 4 from 2020 and it is still going strong even to this day with IF.

Second Tip

Another Option could be the Base IPad or Mini. Both are running A series chips which are not as modern but still perform very well. I wouldn’t recommend the mini though as it costs as much as the air but sacrifices Size and Convenience of a Tablet. The Normal IPad is a good option though

Some Extra Info

If you want an extra powerful and large device with ability to do computer type things on a Tablet and intense Multitasking Choose the IPad Pro

If You want a Sleek but inexpensive IPad which has a Large Modern Screen and Modern Processor rivaling the IPad Pro choose the IPad Air.

Want a Smaller device that can easily fit in a smaller shoulder bag then choose the Mini. Although still not recommended since it still costs almost as much.

Finally if you want a semi modern IPad with Basic older Processor and Functions Go with IPad.

Thanks. I just mainly want an iPad that can run IF smoothly and I can have the apps like firefight for flight training

Then I recommend the base IPad Air 2025. You may also through other platforms to reduce the cost. Also just a tip. Go to Apple.com and go to refurbished page. Here they will sell everything at factory quality for less price. I think around 100- 50 dollar discount maybe
