Bendable Smart Phone Support

About two days ago we learned about the Samsung Bendable phone being released presumably next year.

I am interested to know how FDS plans to support such a device that bends its screen from a regular smart phone to a tablet.

So the two questions I have is

• Has FDS started to plan/consider
• Is there any ideas on how Infinite flight will work on it

I assume it would just adjust it’s orientation or not be supported at all.

At the moment it’s just a concept - we can’t accurately plan how to support this until a product is announced (along with accompanying documentation for it).

@Cameron
When something like this comes out do you guys as the developers get provided a device every time one comes out for free or do you guys use it and then give it back after you guys are all finished testing infinite flight on that device

But atleast maybe any ideas how you think it may work

No they usually buy one themselves or i guess borrow (Hire) one

Yeah that’s what I’m asking if they do this

Or get it leased to them with a special developer plan

Thats why us (the customer) supports them by buying a sub so they can develope these sorts of things

Ahh I have never thought about it that way I guess we basically provide them with more technology to support this simulator on

Exactly, nothing is free these days and with devices getting expensive they really need all the help they can get since FDS is only small.

Yeah thanks for clearing this question up now I know why they have prices like this
In my opinion I wouldn’t really care how much we need to pay I would say we are paying for a lot less than it really costs which is a great deal

Discussions like this make us really think about this stuff

Infinite flight is probably one of the best things that happened to me

It depends on the manufacturer, they don’t generally gift devices, but there are sometimes discounted dev editions sold for cutting-edge releases like this. It’s still a bit down the line so it’s way too early to speculate :)

Well I learned a new thing today and one thing for sure infinite flight has been the best thing that has happened to me

I wouldn’t trust something like that still it’s been in released for at least 3 years.

Honsotly i don’t see anyone wanting this. I doubt FDS will support it unless it gets a sustainable amount of supporters
