I’m sure you are like, “What does he mean?” Well, let me explain. I was one of the first to download IF on my old Google account. The email attached to that got hacked, and I was locked out of my original account as well as my Google account. I was, I guess you could say fortiante enough to have the current Google account I have already set up. I was all over the place with flight sims as a whole. From FS9 and X-Planes to IF. However, life would throw tons of hoops in my way, and I’d have a phone with service, and then I wouldn’t. My phone has been stolen and even left behind, and has never been seen again. Now that my life has been fairly stable, only once in a while not able to renew my yearly subscription. Even my children have had their share of flying on IF. I am 41 and have been an aviation enthusiast as far back as I can remember. I’m sure there are a few of these “Hi, I am” posts. If you are on TikTok slight chance you’ve seen me either talking about police scanner or sharing my 1/400 scale models, and even sharing screenshots from IF and X-Plane 12, and the one from my first try at MSFS2020. I may have even flown by you on the Training and Expert Servers. I like to do real-world flights. Lately, I’ve been doing long-haul flights. My last long-haul flight was UAE229, and a couple of hours ago I before writing this post, I did a flight as ASA59. I am looking into possibly an IFAV or becoming an IFATC controller. Well, I guess this is my introduction to the community. So, those of you in VA’s or who are ATC controllers, what are the pros and cons of either or both of them? I look forward to your replies and thank you in advance for the insight of them.
