I’m writing this, because I’ve experienced massive problems with the IFATC recruitment. I passed the written test a week ago, and then I contacted my recruiter. He wrote me back, that he has time on Tuesday or Thursday. I said him Tuesday is perfect whenever it is good for him. I was waiting the whole afternoon, nothing. Then I wrote him Thursday will be also fine. Nothing. On Friday evening he wrote me, that sorry he was busy and handed me over to an other recruiter. He wrote me on Saturday, that after Sunday 1400z he is free to do it. On Sunday and 1400z I asked for the airport and other info. After 1,5h he said me he is . on his way home, shouldn’t take that much time. I was waiting the whole afternoon, that when he gets home we can do it right away. Nothing I wrote him at 1800z if he still has time? Nothing.
I want some recruiter to contact me, who has time, and if we make an appointment, we also do the test AT THAT TIME!!!
I hope you understand my problem.
Just to let you know, recruiters do not live on the forum. Anything can pop up at any second that could cause them not to be available.
Patience is a virtue and you’ll need lots of it in IFATC :)
You’re title is “Be respectful!”. Let’s follow that example please. I know you’re frustrated but keep calm.
Give them another chance and try to contact your recruiter again if you haven’t heard from them for two or three days, make sure you got everything right. Give them another couple days.
Again, I understand your frustration. An appointment is an appointment. But there’s always something unexpected that can happen.
We have lives other then IF. We are busy with many recruits and other things. Be patient , as it may take a week or two to get to your practical.
I understand that they have many other things to do. I’m totally fine with it and I can wait as long as they want it. But my problem is, that they are not contacting me. I’m just waiting there and don’t know what’s going on. I have also many other things to do. If they would say: Hey sorry I got something else to do, don’t wait for, it’s fine. But that’s no the case
From my own experience, things can happen unexpectedly (personal reasons), and it’s possible that person is taking care of their family and friends first in real life. We all have priorities and sometimes, we just have to focus on what’s more important. I know when my mom passed on recently, I just could not focus on flying a lot, the VAs, and the IFC forum. I had to take some time for myself, and take care of my family :) . Only just this week (it’s been a month almost) am I just now starting to get things back to normal. The point is definitely be patient with this person because you don’t know whats going on in their life.
Everyone here is backing the recruiter, what about the lad who just passed and is wasting his days after plans have been made. Everyone is saying oh they have lives you know. How about a simple message saying sorry its cancelled something came up. That would be respectful.
Yes that’s what I’m speakin about! :)
Keep in mind that being patient is a huge part of being a controller, not just the recruitment process.
3 separate occasions with 2 different people, i don’t think so
But that whole topic is not about patience! I’m complaining about not to be informed!!!
@Abel_Kocsis open KSSC now
We are here and ready.
Wow now? I’m already in bed but ok :D
Bump the original message for your feedback. The respectful thing too do instead of creating a topic would have been to start there in the first place. You should have taken your extra time to brush up on procedures in the ATC tutorial section.
