Thailand to Nepal
เนปาล ไป เนปาล
Hop aboard this Boeing 777-2D7ER on Thai Airways flight TG319 as we fire up those 2 trusty Rolls Royce Trent 895 engines once more and take HS-TJV into the skies.
This route will take us out over Thailand, through Burma, Bangladesh and the tip of India over Nepal, finally touching down in the Nepali capital, Kathmandu. Headwinds of 51 kts throughout and a temperature of -51 celcius at cruise was pretty standard and airspace over both areas was quiet. Good visibility allowed us to take a few snaps of the HD scenery as our virtual passengers chowed down some good grub and some took the opportunity for a couple of hours sleep before landing.
It’s a good old beast is this 777-200ER. Slim, smooth and with a good dose of flaps and balanced rudder on takeoff, it floats off the runway like a dream and actually feels noticeably lighter than its older brother, the 300ER. I think the Thai livery suits it quite well, with some nice purple and gold paintwork and a shiny nose.
We look forward to seeing you again and from myself and on behalf of the virtual crew, we wish you a pleasant stay in Nepal or safe onward journey.
