Bad Controller?

So, just finishing a pattern circuit at London City, just came out at 2nd exit of runway 27 and straight after exiting, I requested taxi to parking, then I got told to check forums for atc instructions. @Tyler_Shelton, @Mark_Denton.

Any ideas? Was it a wrong time to request taxi to parking?
