About 2 and a half months ago, American Airlines made history of resuming nonstop flights between the United States 
and Venezuela 
after a 7 year hiatus. A lot has happened since that historic flight, American added an extra frequency, airlines like United and JetBlue have announced their plans to return and begin service to the country respectively. And worse of all, a very tragic earthquake hitting the capital city of Caracas where many lost their homes, jobs and even lives. The cities primary airport also suffered major damage to critical infrastructure meaning the suspension of flights once again. It isn’t all bad however, as back in early-mid June, AA announced flights between Miami, FL 
and the coastal city of Maracaibo which they initially expressed interest in back when they first had intentions of relaunching flights. That part of the country thankfully wasn’t affected by the earthquake as much as Caracas meaning today it was able to inaugurate with an Embraer E175 operated by Envoy Air for American Airlinee. This as them being the first airline to commence flights really shows their commitment to the country and its people. And just like when Caracas service was restored, I took some time out of my day to reactivate Maracaibo service in Infinite Flight!
