Today we are flying from Avarua to Auckland aboard Air New Zealand’s Dreamliner. This is a classic route from New Zealand to the Pacific Islands. This route was part of the famous Coral Route from Auckland to Papeete in the 1950s, operated by TEAL on Short Solent flying boats. Without further ado, let’s get on board.

Having dinner at FL380, which consisted of mashed kumara, roast chicken, grilled veggies with some cake as a dessert. The sunshine hitting the wing and the glittering sea below was a gorgeous vista as we enjoyed our dinner.

Short final over Auckland city. I remember this approach irl, what struck me as a Singaporean is how flat and sprawling it was.
